Labor foremen for construction projects in Seattle and Tacoma, WA. Three years experience as a working construction labor foreman desired. Ability to assist superintendent with maintaining a project schedule, manage a 7 to 10 person crew and handle site utilization is required. Ability to read blueprints, install waterproofing at the foundation, concrete knowledge, forklift certified, calculate yardage of materials and lead site safety are a plus.

Additional Knowledge Requirements:

Ability to read and write, do basic math including: add, subtract, multiply and divide at 12th grade level, ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.

Training/Skill Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent.  Verbal communication (in person/radio) in English.  Abliity to use/read tape measure.  RDF provides special training to meet job requirements. 

Degree of Supervision Required:

Moderate supervision; reports to Superintendent.  Receives work instructions from Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.

Essential Job Tasks:

  • Performs jobsite cleanup (garbage pickup, lumber pickup and sorting, sweeping); moves and empties garbage into dumpsters.
  • Delivers, unloads and moves materialsl eg lumber, door windows, paint, tools, cabinets to work area.
  • Sets, removes and cleans forms (concrete work).
  • Pours concrete using wheelbarrow and/or pump hose.
  • Assists with demolition work; involves use of sledge hammer, jack hammer.
  • Provides traffic control; building/gate lock up.
  • Operates forklift as instructed.
  • Assists with area cleanup.
  • Works all shifts, including varying shifts, extended hours, overtime.
  • Assists with problem solving.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Physical Requirements:

Requires frequent standing interspersed with walking 8 hours/day  while performing essential job tasks and occasionally wearing a tool belt weighing 10 - 15 pounds.  Lifts up to 100 pounds and may carry 100 pounds of building materials, concrete or tools.  Climbs up/down ladders 30 - 40 times/day.  Requires frequent use of hands, fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders, back, legs and feet.  May work indoors or outdoors with exposure to moving objects and exposure to vibration when using power tools, concrete vibrator and compactor. Requires depth perception to climb ladders. Requires ability to hear and communicate in English.

Tools, Equipment, Machines, Vehicles used as part of job:

Power tools, hand tools, nail bar, 10 -12" crecent wrench, hammer, shovel, pallet jack, wheelbarrow, jack hammer, bobcat, compactor, broom, 2 way radios.


Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.  Ensures and contributes to a safe environment for customers and employees; keeps current with and adheres to OSHA and safety training requirements.  Must wear safety glasses, safety harness, hard hat, hearing protection and respiratory protection as needed; may wear rubber boots, gloves.
